St. Joseph’s College for Women (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam, received the prestigious “Best Performing Affiliated College” award from Andhra University during its Centenary Celebrations (1926–2026) held at the AU Convention Centre on April 18. Dr. K. Manikya Kumari, Head, Department of Botany, was also honored with the Distinguished Faculty Award at the event.

Congratulations to A. Sai Mythili, former CBZ student, on receiving two Gold Medals in M.Sc. Botany from Andhra University at the 91st & 92nd Combined Convocation held on March 25, 2026, at the AU Convention Centre, Visakhapatnam. She was also honored with the Chief Minister Merit Award. 🎓🥇

Academic Audit 29-12-2025

Final year (23 AK) Botany Major students presented their research papers at an International Conference (18th &19th September-2025). Sanjana A. presented ‘AI and Biology: Bridging Computation with Life’, and Hanshika Upadhyay presented ‘Next Generation Biomimetics: A Plant-Based Approach to Nanosensing’.

Graduation Day was organized by St. Joseph’s College for Women (A) on 5th November 2025. Students of 21AI and 22AJ (CBZ) received their degrees and medals from Prof. G. S. N. Raju, Chancellor of Centurion University and former Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University.

Student Sunidhi Roy from III BA, won First prize in elocution with ₹5000/- cash award and Certificate. She also won the "Over all Championship" with ₹10000/- cash award and Certificate. One more of our student Jaya Likhita from Ist BA, won Third prize with ₹2000/-

Dr. K. Manikya Kumari, HOD Department of Botany was nominated by APSCHE as 'Trainer of Trainers' at University level for the Community Development Projects in all affiliated colleges of Visakhapatnam.
