Educational Visit (07-01-2026): 2nd B.Sc. Botany (Minor) students at DNCS Biodiversity Park and the Botany Museum, Andhra University Visakhaptanm.

Educational field visit (12 Dec 2025): 1st B.Sc. Honours Botany students at CMFRI ( Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute), Visakhapatnam, gaining hands-on exposure to microalgae culture techniques, followed by marine algal collection and field observations at RK Beach.

A field trip to Borra Caves was organized by the Department of Second Languages on 23-11-2025 for all First Year Degree students. First Year Botany major students joined along with 180 students from various streams. An Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign was also conducted in Borra village as part of the program.





The Department of Second Languages organized a visit to the Dr. V. S. Krishna Central Library, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, on 20-11-2025 as part of Library Week celebrations (à°—్à°°ంà°¥ాలయ à°µాà°°ోà°¤్సవాà°²ు) for First-Year Degree students. Twelve First-Year Botany major (25AM) students participated along with others. The visit inspired them as they explored thousands of books from rare old volumes to the latest editions and gained a deeper appreciation for the value of reading and learning from national and international authors.


Department of Botany organized a botanical visit to the Eastern Ghats Biodiversity Centre and Kambalakonda Eco Park, Visakhapatnam, on 18-10-2025 with III B.Sc. Botany major students.



III B.Sc. Botany (Major) students of the 23 AK batch during their field visit on 15-10-2025- to an organic farm at Tarluvada, Vizag District, organized by the Department of Botany. Students learned key organic farming practices such as improving soil fertility, increasing organic matter, enhancing microbial activity, and natural nitrogen enrichment.

Establishment of an Eco Green Park: Enhancing Student Understanding of
Plastic Waste and Sustainable Waste Management through a Plant Garden


On March 15, 2025, the Botany Department conducted algal identification studies for 2023 AK and 2024 AL BSc Botany students, utilizing samples from both marine (Mutyalamma Palem Beach) and freshwater (Kondakarla Ava) environments.
